Amongst those buried here are Ada, the last of the family to die in Kirkham and Edmund William, the last Birley to be buried in the town who died in December 1940.
John, the first to be buried at Kirkham, in 1767, lies with his second wife, Elizabeth, in a separate grave a little nearer the church.
The 1851 census of Kirkham shows Charles Birley living in Church Street with his wife Elizabeth, four sons and five servants
